Origins / Future project

Towards a wasabi farm, and tables around the world.

WASABI FIELD EditorialReviewed: 2026-10-13

The ambition is to grow hon-wasabi and eventually bring it to overseas tables. This publication is the starting point for learning and preparation.

What this guide covers
Begin with a publication · Document only what happens · Learn from overseas readers

Begin with a publication

This is a plan to build understanding, not an announcement of an operating farm. We want to share useful Japanese and English reading with people interested in wasabi. Location, harvest dates, prices and shipping destinations are not established.

Document only what happens

Future records may cover permitted visits, conversations with growers, possible sites and cultivation trials. We will not invent farm visits or harvest experiences. Plans, verified information and completed actions will be distinguished.

Learn from overseas readers

We want to learn what readers and chefs would cook and which formats they would find useful. There is no supply commitment at this stage. Confirmed farm and sales information will be announced when it becomes available.

Questions & answers

Is the farm already operating?

No. It is a future project. Actual progress will be documented as it happens.
